2025 Community Survey
Over the summer of 2025, we surveyed community members on their Sense of Belonging as well as what is important to them in four different areas of our lives that contribute to our sense of belonging: Orondo History, Communication, Community Event, and Our Kids.

Few people who answered the question feel a complete sense of belonging, but

Also very few feel no sense of belonging.

Many people feel somewhere in the middle of the spectrum from "a little" to "quite a bit".

We hope we can help more people feel more belonging by taking actions around the following topics.
Communication

The survey confirmed what we already knew: there are gaps in communication; and gathered valuable thoughts on how we can improve.

We also confirmed interest in attending community events, especially ones with food to bring people together.

There’s enthusiasm for a Fall Harvest Festival, and interest in organizing and promoting activities like goat head removal and trash clean-up days.

There is interest in organizing time and activities with kids for things like clubs and sports.

Allison Podlich is starting a 4-H club in partnerships with the Orondo School Friday school program.
